BAPTISMAL REQUIREMENTS
Children that are 6 years of age or older need to go through the Religious Education Office in order to baptize. For more information call (562) 949-5653.
Parents must be registered parishioners of St. Mariana's or bring a permission letter from their parish.
Must bring child's birth certificate (copy of hospital OK.) Parents and Sponsors must take the Pre-Baptismal Class.
Sponsors must be practicing Catholics, 16 years of age, single, if sponsors are married they must be married thru the Catholic Church. (Only two sponsors allowed, one male and one female.)
Please turn this completed form at the class. (If you are unsure of date of Baptism, leave space blank and inform the rectory office at least 3 days prior to date of baptism).
Please turn in donation envelope at the class ($35.00.)
Class is valid for one year only.
It is important when taking the class to sign-in. If you do not attend the complete class you will not get credit for taking the class, and you will not receive your child's baptismal certificate.
Please provide your own candle for the baptismal ceremony.
Please, NO CHILDREN, no food or beverages in class.
NOTE: A baptismal certificate is considered to be a legal document.
CLASSES:
English: 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m., in
Room 1-H.
Spanish: 2nd. Wednesday of the month at 7:15 p.m., in Room 1-H.
BAPTISMS: (USUALLY)
English: 2nd & 4th Saturday, at 10:00 a.m.
Spanish: 1st & 3rd Saturday at 10:00 a. m.
